The township of Little Falls, New Jersey traces its heritage all the way back to 1711. The name is taken after the Passaic River waterfall that used to spill downstream from the dam.
Little Falls is mainly residential and now home to a population of about 14,483, and is bounded by the communities of Montclair, Wayne, Cedar Grove, Woodland Park, Totowa, North Caldwell, Fairfield and Clifton.
